Alaska is bear country.
The Icelegacy team, @borgeouslandexploration and @vincentcolliard successfully skied last spring across the Stikine ice field in the South-East of Alaska. This shot of Borge taken on Sawyer glacier also shows some bear tracks in the background. Usually, Brown or Black bears don’t walk across glaciers because of the numerous cracks. It’s amazing to realize that the bear has travelled, in the lower part of the glacier, across crevasses by himself. « I love them » declared Borge, while Vincent continues « it is always a special moment when you ski across bear tracks. Joy and fear overwhelm you in the same time.
